North American fans of UK rock band Coldplay attending their concerts this summer will walk away with a free live CD titled LeftRightLeftRightLeft.
Currently touring the globe in support of their worldwide success Viva La Vida and its follow-up EP, Prospekt’s March, Coldplay will give away an exclusive live CD of songs recorded during the first part of their trek. All fans attending their concerts this summer, with the exception of festivals, will get a copy beginning with their West Palm Beach show in Florida on Friday May 15. Fans of the “Yellow”, “Clocks” and “Viva La Vida” hit makers unable to see them live in concert will not be left out in the cold as the entire album will be available as a free download from Coldplay’s official website on the same day. Coldplay North American Concerts“Playing live is what we love,” Coldplay said in a statement. “This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.” Coldplay have many reasons to be thankful, their fourth full length album, Viva La Vida, hit number one in America as did the single of the same name. Said single still sits on the Billboard Hot 100 nearly a year after it was first released. Viva La Vida won seven Grammy awards at this year’s celebration as well as two Juno awards in Canada. The album was also named the Top Selling Global Album of 2008 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an international body that represents the recording industry worldwide. Coldplay begin their string of seven Canadian dates in Winnipeg on June 15 and complete their cross country tour in Montreal. Their 35-city summer trek wraps on August 19 in Irvine California. A full list of their North American concert dates can be found on their website. Coldplay LeftRightLeftRightLeft Track List
