Madonna’s upcoming Sticky and Sweet Tour is set to become one of the hottest tours of the year. Most of the shows sold out in record time, and the concert is on track to rival her previous outing, 2006’s Confessions Tour, which was the highest grossing tour ever by a female artist.

The Production

The tour is being directed by Madonna's long time collaborator Jamie King. The musical director will be Kevin Antunes. The set list will allegedly feature a lot of past favorites as well as focusing on Madonna’s current album Hard Candy, which was number one in several countries, including the United States.

The Supporting Cast

The tour has also been generating headlines due to a hush-hush video filmed recently by pop princess and Madonna protégé Britney Spears. The video features Spears dancing in an elevator and will supposedly be featured in one of Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet performances on stage for the duration of the tour.

Madonna will be supported onstage by different artists in various cities. Swedish pop darling Robyn will join her on several European dates, DJ Paul Oakenfold will appear in London, and French DJ Bob Sinclair will join the Material Girl in Paris.

New tour dates are being added constantly. Rumor has it that the Queen of Pop will also make stops in South America, Australia, and possibly Asia late this year/ early next year.

Though most shows are currently sold out, a few tickets may still be available, as well as some ticket packages.
